Join Christian Hope Community Association for The Igniting Hope Walk-a-Thon in Markham as we raise funds to support families and children in the Dominican Republic.

Participants will gather at The Olive Branch Church in Markham for a short walk followed by a celebration featuring music, family activities, and a presentation about the impact of CHCA’s work.

This event will fundraiser for:

  • Vacation Bible Camp Programming for 50 children and 25 youths

  • Spiritual discipleship and professional development for 9 local staff

  • Educational supplies

  • Meals for children and their families

What to Expect

Please ensure you complete both steps:

  • Adults (18+): $30

    Youth (18 and under): $15

    Family: $75

  • Our goal is to raise $20,000!

    We encourage each participant to aim for $100–$250 in fundraising. Every contribution—big or small—helps us get closer to our goal and make a meaningful impact.

  • The walkathon will start and end at The Olive Branch Community Church (175 Anderson Ave, Markham, ON L6E 1A4).

    Participants can choose between two routes: a 2 km walk or a 5 km walk—perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

  • There will be face painting and self-directed activities such as cornhole, sidewalk chalk drawing and music along with water and light refreshments. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about CHCA and the impact of the work we do.
